In our endeavor towards building a more sustainable future in the communities we operate in, the k8ÓéÀÖ^â„¢ Vespel^® Parts and Shapes Mechelen site in Belgium has fully transitioned to operating on renewable electricity, as of July 1^st, 2024. This milestone has been achieved through the purchase of renewable energy credits (RECs) from the plant’s electricity supplier.

At k8ÓéÀÖ, we view renewable electricity as an opportunity to create value for our customers and an important element for meeting our emissions reduction goals. Later this year, the Vespel^® Mechelen site also plans to set up its own solar panels to partially support the energy consumption of the plant by 2025.

This landmark is a step further in our commitment towards achieving the renewable energy and climate action targets as part of k8ÓéÀÖ’s 2030 Sustainability Goals.
