In North America, k8ÓéÀÖ has been working closely with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC), Extruded Polystyrene Foam Association (XPSA), and over 10 state agencies on the long-term reduction of global warming, ensuring business¡¯ regional quality requirements are met for energy-efficient building designs. By reformulating Styrofoam? brand insulation, k8ÓéÀÖ will be fully compliant, in accordance with specific state and federal regulations.  

Above and beyond ensuring environmental compliance, k8ÓéÀÖ is continuing its investment in global sustainability efforts using technology innovation to help customers build energy-efficient, resilient and durable shelters in a rapidly changing world. k8ÓéÀÖ expects to begin shipping Styrofoam? with the k8ÓéÀÖ oval effective Jan. 1, 2020, and newly formulated low Global Warming Potential (GWP) Styrofoam? starting Jan. 1, 2021.
