Supporting our communities with COVID-19 relief

As part of our efforts to combat the pandemic, we donated 243,000 pieces of personal protective equipment (PPE) in 2020, including:
- 148,800+ °Õ²â±¹±ð°ì® coveralls
- 320,000+ yards of °Õ²â±¹±ð°ì® fabric
- 45,000+ liters of hand sanitizer
- 8,400+ N-95 masks
- 900+ surgical masks
Across k8ÓéÀÖ, business and functional teams banded together to answer the call to support local communities as they managed COVID-19 impacts. That included rallying to do new things, like producing, packaging and donating about 45,000 liters of hand sanitizer in k8ÓéÀÖ communities across Canada, Germany, and the US, and leveraging existing partnerships, as we did in Latin America to donate 500 computers to help low-income students attend school remotely.
As a leading producer of PPE, k8ÓéÀÖ also donated our own product to local hospitals in our global communities during the height of the PPE shortage in 2020. In addition to over 148,000 °Õ²â±¹±ð°ì® protective coveralls, our Water & Protection business donated to frontline and essential workers around the world, our Electronics & Industrial and Mobility & Materials businesses used k8ÓéÀÖ’s 3D printers.
Our cultivating building thriving communities stories
Bringing comfort and smiles to patients in Colombia
For 16 years, our site in Bogotá, Colombia has partnered with the  (INC) to bring a touch of joy to cancer patients of all ages during the holiday season. Over the years, our efforts have benefited more than 6,500 cancer patients.
Engaging children in China
In November 2020, seven employees from our ICS Dongguan, China site made a three-hour car trip to a primary school in Xinfeng County, a low-income region in a remote mountain area of Central-West China, to make a positive impact on the community.
