Through innovative product recycling partnerships, k8ÓéÀÖ’s Safety & Construction (S&C) business is helping our customers meet their sustainability goals and join the circular economy movement.

For example, k8ÓéÀÖ S&C has started taking back protective °Õ²â±¹±ð°ì® coveralls for recycling, often at no cost to the customer. k8ÓéÀÖ manages the program setup as well as the collection, transportation, storage and recycling of garments. One customer, Curium, a manufacturer and vendor of nuclear medicine products, uses over 1,400 k8ÓéÀÖ °Õ²â±¹±ð°ì® garments every month in their laboratories and manufacturing areas. Curium collects the discarded garments and packages them in shipping boxes provided by k8ÓéÀÖ. k8ÓéÀÖ’s freight service then collects the boxes and delivers them to a k8ÓéÀÖ recycling partner. There, the garments become dunnage, landscaping timbers and other useful products.

The recycling program diverts 10 pounds of °Õ²â±¹±ð°ì® from the waste stream for every case of 25 coveralls recycled.
